String Programs and Locations

Orchestra with Mr. Tom Rye

The orchestra is directed by Mr. Tom Rye and is for the students who are able to read music proficiently. The orchestra plays high school level music.

Note: The orchestra fees are the same as the band fees.

Beginning Strings with Sarah Grote

Sarah Grote is the orchestra teacher for the homeschool group and offers the following classes throughout the week:

Beginning Strings (violin, viola, cello or bass)
Intermediate Strings (violin, viola, cello or bass)
4-6 year olds class (violin)

Our orchestra instructor has the following qualifications:

Sarah Grote has a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Music Perfomance. She taught public school orchestra for 10 years in Texas and Oklahoma and then received a grant to teach Suzuki violin for 3 years in the Oklahoma City schools. Sarah currently teaches throughout the metro area, performs with various groups and enjoys staying home with her children.
